Rachel Breen has been working with On The Commons for several years. She initiated a strategic partnership with Heart of the Beast Theater in Minneapolis resulting in a series of theatrical performances exploring the obvious importance of water in our lives and expressing the primal need to widen the scope of environmental and water rights issues around the globe.

Rachel has worked for a number of local non-profits in Minneapolis and is also a working visual artist and a professor of art. She teaches at the College of Visual Arts, Normandale Community College, and the University of Minnesota. She is also a curator and writes about art and social engagement.
